New work

Barn Owl 9" x 9"

Lapwing 9" x 9"

snipe 9" x 9"

Woodcock 9" x 9"

Oystercatcher 9" x 9"

Copies

Guess it's a compliment when someone copies your work but it doesn't feel like it when someone does a workshop then starts selling poor copies of your work at vintage and craft fairs. If they don't have JH on them they are not mine unless she is forging my initials as well.

New patchwork cushions

Hi been busy making some new cushions, made 6 and they are in 'Gallery at 12' Eccleshall, here are my favourite two. They are 18" x 9" and cost £40.00.
Also made some new cards, using some fabrics I screen printed on an embroideres guild workshop a few months ago. They are A5 size so quite large and would be ideal for putting in a frame.

We had a fantastic day last Sunday 8 lovely ladies busy embroidering quirky birds. Photos to prove it, didn't they do well.

I hate technology why when I saved them in photoshop the right way up have they all come out sideways and upside down? help anybody know why? can't change them on the blog either. You will have to turn your heads, sorry.

Felt Nuno workshop 19th Feb

Hi, I ran another felt nuno scarf workshop last sunday @unittwelve Tixall, went very well nearly a full house, 7 lovely ladies attended and made 7 lovely scarves unfortunately I only took a few photos before my camera memory was full. Here they are anyway.
Carolyns scarf still wet but the silk will be all floaty when dry.

This is a new design of mine, shown as an example, the circle of wool fibres will shrink and pull the silk rectangles into yummy crinkly shapes, I put wool circles on every rectangle, making a long skinny scarf.

Robbies scarf and rose brooch again wet but will look lovely and floaty when dry.

Susans double sided scarf made using viscouse fabric worked very well and gave a more substancial feel.
I am working on some samples of vessels to do another workshop in the spring.
