Workshop on Free Motion Machine Embroidery at The Corner Patch in Eccleshall.

Fed up of birds, been embroidering everything but birds, here are my fish.
My web site is till not working properly so adding new photos to blog instead.

Pam's commission

I was asked to do an embroidery of a special place in Scotland, I photographed the stages of making it.

I selected a lovely thick cotton and painted on a wash of silk paints, ironed to fix.

chose fabircs to applique on in the shapes of the landscape.

Free motion stitches the fabrics down, to secure and add detail.

Added trees in the forground free motion.

Hand stitched a rainbow in the sky and wrote the poem requested then stretched onto a frame.

She loved it and is commissioning something similar soon.

Workshop April 13th

Workshop on Free Motion Embroidery on 13th April.
Had a lovely day as usual with some fantstic result, quite a few of these ladies are on their second or third workshop and the progression is lovely to see.

Tixall Village hall, a lovely venue, very light and just the right size, lots of parking at the back.

My best friend John requested this commission for one of his friends childs naming day, I don't do much of this sort of thing but enjoyed it, hope he likes it.

The Corner Patch Workshop Eccleshall

I enjoyed my third workshop at The Corner Patch shop Ecclesahall on Tuesday 5th March, 6 lovely ladies, produced some great work, all beginners to free motion machine embroidery.

My last workshop was another sucess, 7 lovely ladies, a range of abilities, here are some of what they made.
I have been very bad at doing my blog, but I have done a workshop for Stafford College and 2 for The Corner Patch at Eccleshall. I have another workshop at Tixall Stafford on 23rd March which is nearly booked up. My web site is not working at the moment so will blog a bit more to compensate.
